International Conference on Artificial Intelligence (ICAI-2021)
On May 22nd and 23rd, 2021, the Artificial Intelligence Foundation Trust, India successfully organized the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence (ICAI-2021) through virtual platform. The two-day international conference brought together researchers, academicians, industry experts, and students from India and abroad to discuss recent advances and emerging trends in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Blockchain, Computer Vision, Internet of Things (IoT), and allied technologies.
The conference commenced with the inaugural session, followed by keynote addresses from eminent experts: Dr. Vrijendra Singh, Chairman, IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, UP Section and Associate Dean (Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation), Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Prayagraj, India; Dr. Korhan Cengiz, Senior Member IEEE and Faculty Member, Trakya University, Edirne, Turkey; Dr. Raghava Mutharaju, Faculty Member, Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT Delhi), India; and Dr. Tushar Kanti Bera, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Durgapur, India. Their keynote sessions provided valuable insights into cutting-edge AI research and emerging technological innovations.
The conference also featured two expert workshops. The workshop on "Deep Learning: Bridging the Gap between Theoretical and Practical" was conducted by Dr. Ankit Vidyarthi, Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), Noida, India, and Dr. Rishav Singh, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Delhi, India. Another workshop on "Blockchain and Its Applications" was delivered by Dr. Dharmender Singh Kushwaha, Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT), Prayagraj, India, along with Mr. Amrendra Singh Yadav, Senior Research Scholar, MNNIT Prayagraj, India, and Mr. Vijayant Pawar, Senior Research Scholar, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Delhi, India.
A total of 30 research papers were presented across five parallel technical sessions (ICAI01–ICAI05), covering diverse domains including deep learning, computer vision, healthcare AI, intelligent transportation, blockchain, cybersecurity, cloud computing, fuzzy systems, IoT, smart agriculture, sentiment analysis, and image processing. The technical sessions offered an excellent platform for researchers and scholars to present innovative ideas, exchange knowledge, and foster interdisciplinary collaborations.
The conference concluded with the Valedictory Session and Best Paper Awards, recognizing outstanding research contributions. ICAI-2021 successfully strengthened academic-industry interaction, encouraged high-quality AI research, and reaffirmed the commitment of the Artificial Intelligence Foundation Trust towards promoting innovation, responsible Artificial Intelligence, and global research collaboration.
